Dr. Dale Dergousoff


Dr. Dale Dergousoff has practiced in Prince George since 2003 and has been the owner of Parker Optometry since 2005

Before entering into the profession Dr. Dergousoff enjoyed a successful basketball career at Simon Fraser University, where he earned his B.Sc.(Kinesiology) and later went onto to play professionally in New Zealand. Upon the completion of his basketball career, Dr. Dergousoff went onto Pacific University where he graduated (With Distinction) with his Doctorate in Optometry. Dr. Dergousoff began his optometry career practicing in Keene, New Hampshire – a small city in the Southwest corner of the state. After three and a half years in New Hampshire, Dr. Dergousoff and family returned to British Columbia where he practiced in Nelson for two years before making his move to Prince George.

Prior to heading off to optometry school, Dr. Dergousoff married while in New Zealand and has been happily married to his wife for over 26 years. They have three children. Their oldest son has made his home in Prince George with his wife and children. Their other son is pursuing a dance career in London, England, and their daughter is now attending university in New Zealand.

Since practicing in Prince George, Dr. Dergousoff has been involved in coaching basketball at the high school and university level. For the past 15 years, Dr. Dergousoff has been an assistant coach with the successful University of Northern British Columbia Men’s Basketball Team. In 2010, the team won the CCAA National Championship, a first for the proud university. This success helped enable UNBC’s entry in Canadian Interuniversity Sport as members of the Canada West Conference. 

In addition to coaching, Dr. Dergousoff has been heavily involved with the regulation of optometry here in British Columbia. For years, Dr. Dergousoff served the public of British Columbia as a board member, including over 7 years as the Board Chair, for the College of Optometrists of British Columbia. Dr. Dergousoff recently retired from his Registrar position with the College of Optometrists of BC.

Most of all, Dr. Dergousoff enjoys spending time with his family. He now looks forward to spending more time with his wife and travelling.

Dr. Jennifer Wilczek


Dr. Jennifer Wilczek was born and raised in Prince George. After graduating from Duchess Park, she began her post-secondary education at UNBC before transferring to UBC to complete her Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences. She went on to study Optometry at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. After graduating with her Doctorate in Optometry she returned home to Prince George and joined the eye care team at Parker Optometry.

Dr. Wilczek treats patients of all ages, and enjoys seeing pre-school children in the office for their first eye exam. Dr. Wilczek ensures all patients get the best visual care to meet their daily needs. She is very knowledgeable and comfortable in discussing contact lenses, laser vision correction as well as various diseases that affect the eyes including diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. In 2011, Dr. Wilczek published a research paper that featured a NIKE product that was used to measure visual performance skills in athletes.

In her spare time Dr. Wilczek enjoys travelling, exploring different counties, and experiencing other cultures.  She really enjoys snorkeling and discovering the colourful fish, coral and plant life under the sea.  Dr. Wilczek also keeps busy serving the community as a board member for Integris Credit Union, and contributing at her church.  She has also done some eye care education to the Diabetes group and the community through CKPG news.  In the rest of her spare time Dr. Wilczek tries to be active by playing soccer and making time to keep fit.  In the past Dr. Wilczek has coached the Prince George Barracudas and the Prince George Pisces Swim Team.
